Wake Up Smart

Now first thing in the morning I can range from a ravished bear or I can wake up with zero interest in food. But we all know what the doctors say, you need something when you first get up….you need to wake up smart

So first things first : hydration 

I always start off with a pint glass of water. This cleans out your body and has been shown to have good health benefits 

From here ginger shots and/or a home-made juice smoothie always get my day started right. It sounds like a lot but once you get started you realise how simple it is. Another bonus is you can make enough to last you a week and freeze it and take it out as you need them. Mornings won’t be the same again!

Ginger Shot: benefits

  • Juicer: 1/2 green apple, thumbnail piece of ginger
  • Blender: 1/2 green apple, thumb nail piece of grated ginger, root ginger, 1/2 cup water

Purple Passion Protein Smoothie/Juice : no need to peel if using juicer*

  • one beetroot, peeled
  • cup of broccoli stems,peeled
  • half green apple
  • half red apple
  • 1 cup pineapple
  • 1 Tbs hemp seed powder for protein punch
  • lemon juice, 1/4 cup or to taste or lime
  • handful of kale/spinach
  • 1/2 cup or so of water to loosen up

take the ingredients, throw them in your respective food processor and GO!
